Want To Get Paid For Your Opinion?

How would you like to get paid for giving your opinion on a product or service? I can tell you my wife loves doing exactly that. She signed up for one of the Online Paid Survey Directories on my Work At Home website and gives her opinion. I think it's therapeutic for her, because she sure enjoys it.

Many men and women are doing just that on a daily basis. Many of the largest companies are taking this course in evaluating both their current products and new product that have yet been released. This is a very inexpensive way to find out what a large percentage of your customer base likes and tailor what your business offers to them. Wouldn't it be great if you were designing a product or service and you could find out exactly the types of things that were appealing to your customer base? These companies are willing to pay for your opinion, because it's much less expensive to find out up front if a product has a demand within your customer base. If they were a candle company and they found out for example that their customers like one fragrance better than another then they could carry more inventories for that particular fragrance while decreasing the others. This is just one of many examples of how surveying your customer base saves huge amounts of money.

Online Paid Surveys is the way to go, but you have to be careful, because many of these companies will simply give you an entry into a sweepstakes and no cash for your opinion. Wouldn't it be nice if you could find out exactly which surveys to take that would pay you cash and which one to avoid like the plague? Why take surveys that don't pay you any money when you have alternatives. You don't have to, because if you do your research properly you can find what I call survey directory companies that will give you step-by-step guidance on how to get the best surveys that pay cash and how to avoid the companies that will pay you nothing. You have to be careful, because like anything there are companies out there that will waste your time. I suggest either using a website like mine, but not necessarily mine, that has done some research for you or be prepared to spend days doing the research yourself.

If you would like to get paid for your opinion here is what you need to do:

* Do your research

* Narrow down your choices to 2 - 3 survey directory sites

* Join

* Read the step-by-step guidance provided

* Exercise patience and start earning money

You should be able to join 2 - 3 good online survey directory companies for less than it cost for a family to go out to dinner and a move for one evening. Invest one evening in improving your lifestyle by giving your opinion on products and services from the comfort of your home. Please feel free to read both this article or one of my many others by visiting my link in the resource box below. I always enjoy getting emails pertaining to my articles or my site. Your feedback is important to me.

Take your time, create some additional cash and have fun doing what you enjoy.

Imus Laugh or Not?

The elements of comedy usually require a surprise, a wet paint bench, an embarrassing mistake or a pratfall for the hero to transcend into the victim and make us laugh. The victimization can run the gamut from good clean fun to lightly-veiled sadistic words meant to destroy the object of the joke. Situational humor is one kind of joke, slapstick is hysterical for some or can become boring rather quickly and bathroom humor seems often too gross. Yet, have you laughed at a Pollock joke, an Irishman, an Italian and a Frenchman in a bar joke, or a blond joke? If so, can you be quite as outraged as you ought to be when someone says a sexist, racist, or sexual orientation joke or comment?

Do you hold the sense of humor of a teacher, elected official or religious leader at a different standard than your favorite stand- up? Is the cowboy hat a costume of farce when worn indoors? Thus, is Imus a comedian? If Imus is a comedian, then people who choose to listen to him expect to laugh. Did you consider Imus a pillar of our society or was he simply coarse entertainment not meant for polite company? Was the national outrage because Imus was a newscaster with some political clout and high powered guests? Or was he a comedian who exposed his white boy attitude.

Revamping the way a society treats minorities and women is an important task. Turning off voices of ugly misplaced superiority is a good beginning. However, equally distasteful and dangerous are programs that masquerade as news, when they are clearly misleading exaggeration entertainment. Perhaps "news" could be a protected word only used by fact-checked and balanced reporting without opinion. If a lie is discovered those misstatements could be heavily fined and disdainfully exposed with matching flair and equal airtime. Perhaps then, the public would not confuse our edgy comedians with scholars and experts.

Artists are necessary to expand the confines of a society even when their art or humor goes too far or makes us uncomfortable. Art and performance changes our perceptions of ourselves and our world. When we silence our artists, our society shrinks and stifles all of us. Sometimes art goes too far and tests a society. Sometimes art lifts the rug and exposes dirty truth lurking beneath. No one wants to associate themselves with the Imus remarks of white male supremacy but was it really the first time you had heard that kind of talk? The firing of Imus is a symbol of a shift in our society, a leap to higher ground, even if rooted in the anticipatory fear of sponsors.

What then, exactly, has been redefined? Hopefully, comedians still have freedom to offend. Must mainstream networks make every program appropriate for all viewers? Can we laugh at ourselves but not at others? How can someone tell if you are laughing along with them or at them? If the offense is in the ear of the victim, can the victim then rob another's right to free speech? These questions will be debated as awareness exposes millions of examples of slurs in every corner of our world. People with poor self-worth use insensitive and cruel words as a misguided attempt to elevate themselves by putting others down. Slurs demean the status of the speaker more than the victim. Severe risks and consequences occur whenever you wander over the mercurial line of decency. One clue is when no one else is laughing.

Roulette System: 4 Most Important Factors To Beat Roulette at Online/Offline Casino

In this article, you are going to learn about
the most important factors to beat the roulette and the entire casino including most of its games.

Very few people get rich gambling but you
can win and I will show you how!
For over 60 years, casino style gambling
has been legal in the state of Nevada, USA.
Because of its success, other states and
provinces have either legalized gambling,
or are currently considering legalizing
gambling. Since it is relatively new to
most of these gambling jurisdictions,
the business of gaming is an unfamiliar
and untested entity. It is a high tech
industry with its own language and
historical products. The understanding of
gaming and feeling comfortable with the
operations of electronic gaming devices
is also a new experience for many and
creates job advancements for those already
in the industry.

You may not believe it, but gambling is
probably the second most frequented activity
in the world. We are continually faced with the
opportunity to take a chance on a gamble of
one sort or another.

No way, you may say! Well, think about this...
how many people do you know who place a friendly
wager on a football, baseball, or basketball game?
How many play a little game of poker once a week
or once a month; how many play gin-rummy, pinochle
or backgammon? We all know pe*ple wh~o appear to
live just to go out and play bingo or who cannot
go along without studying race forms and betting
on the horses. Tell me the state or province that
does not offer people a chance to scratch and win
on some fancy sounding game in the guise of handing
out money to needy charities. People bet millions
and millions each and every week on some sort of
lottery game sponsored by the government. As well,
thousands upon thousands of people of all ages
place daily bets on government run sports pools.

Gamblers are a diversified and varied group.
Some have played at the big casinos, some only
buy scratch and win tickets, some only play their
favorite numbers in the lotto games, and some only
play bingo or bet on horses. However, most gamblers
will bet on a variety of games.

Gambling knows no age group, race, or ethnic group.
Gambling knows no time limit or specific year or place.
It happens everywhere, all the time, with all peoples
of the world.

Now you can see why it is North America's fastest
growing industry. And it is a very serious business,
not just for the owners of casinos or for governments
offering games of chance, but to every person who
has ever placed a bet.

So why do people from each and every corner
of the world gamble? NEED. People usually gamble
out of need. They need the money, or they need the
fast paced excitement offered by the games. Once
they get a taste of betting they are hooked. Some
people have the ability to stop but once a person
makes a winning bet, he or she is usually hooked
by the gambling bug. They change their list of
priorities and gambling becomes one of the top
requirements. A win is perceived as eas*y mo~ney
tha.t can~ be duplicated time after time after
time. Lady Luck becomes their constant companion,
friend or foe, and they talk to her, beg for her
help, and even silently pray to her. Hope, anger,
disgust, anticipation, confidence and despair all
become constant companions. It is not unusual
to hear such things as "the next best thing to
gambling and winning is gambling and losing",
or "I don't mind losing, after all, it's only money".
Emotionally, there is no other fix th~at ca~n take
you so high as winning and bring you down
so low as losing.

Mathematically speaking, gambling is an art at
which most people must lose. The odds are against
all who gamble. This is ensured by the house taking
a house edge called a vig. Or in the cases of
government run gambling, you cannot get the correct
odds on any given bet. If you are making the right
bets at the right time you can win big dollars.
However, most people are doomed to be on the wrong bet.
Casinos and millions of dollars donated to charities
by governments do not come about by most people being
on the right bet at the right time.

Why do so many people lose? Because they do not
know what they are doing. They have not become experts
in their field. Would you take thousands of dollars
and invest them in a stock or business without knowing
anything about it? Logically, no one would be that silly.
But thousands of dollars are bet every minute by peopl~e
wh~o do not know the proper odds or who have been given
a hot tip, or who know someone who is hot and on a
winning streak, so they bet with that person.

We all know someone who has placed a wager or has gone
to a big commercial casino saying that "I will lose
only X number of dollars. I can afford to lose this much
without hurting my financial situation." What is wrong
with~ thi.s train of thought and with these otherwise very
intelligent people? ATTITUDE! Your mind frame c.an help~
you to be a winner or cause you to be a certain loser.
Millions of people have gone to Las Vegas thinking
before they go that they can afford to lose a set
amount of money. This thought process is contagious and
occurs with millions of people. Their first thought
about the trip was that they were going to lose.
Where would these people be today in their personal
lives or jobs if they assumed that they were going
to fail? Why did they make 'losing' an assumption in
the first place? The reasons are numerous but the most
common a.re yo*u know all the different games of chance
but you do not really understand them, so you
do not expect to win.

Only the 'lucky' people win and you have never been
known as a lucky person. People always lose, after all,
casinos do not survive by everyone winning.
These thought are the most common perceptions that
people have about gambling. Nearly everybody assumes
that he or she is going to lose. Therefore, nearly
all the people lose.

If you expect to win, you are amongst the minority
of gamblers.
Attitude alone will not make yo.u a~ winner*.
Your first step is to assume tha.t you~ can win.
Now comes the hard part and the part that most
people will not do. You must learn about the games
you are going to play. You must learn what the
chances of success or failure are at each game,
and plan and play according to w.hat you~ have
learned. This is~ no.t only a reasonable thing to do
but a necessary thing to do. People lose because
they don't know how to win. Winning at gambling is
a tough business. If it was not, then we would all
be professional gamblers. Professional gamblers all
have one thing in common. These people make a comfortable
living doing nothing but gambling. Whatever the game that
they gamble at, they are experts. They have taken the
time to learn and practice every facet of their
particular game. They know all the odds and probabilities
as well as all the rules of the game and of the
gaming house in which they are playing. And most of
them bet only on the one game of chance in which
they are experts.

All professionals will tell you that to become
successful in games of chance, y*ou mu~st learn,
have, and practice the four following ingredients:
* A sufficient bankroll
* Money management
* Knowledge of the game or games tha~t yo~u wish to play
* Discipline

The above mentioned four ingredients are a must.
Without them, a professional gambler does not stay
a gambler for very long. There are other secrets,
such as learning session play, and pacing yourself
so that you do not fatigue out, both physically and mentally.

The amateur gambler's most notorious downfall is greed.
Next comes stupidity. The professional gambler has
eliminated greed from his game and replaced it with
the above items, and he has eliminated stupidity by
learning the rules, odds, etc.

Your chances of success are best wh.en you~ know wha~t
yo~u are up against. What bets will gi.ve you~ the best
chance of winning, what bets to avoid because the house
advantage is too big. Give the house as small an
advantage as possible. Learn where the house has little
or no advantage and use it. Learn about systems and use
that knowledge to your advantage. (There is no known
system that can overcome the house advantage except
in one game - Blackjack). A good systematic approach
can keep you out of traps and protect your play against
emotions of the moment; they can limit your risk taking,
and they can get you out while you are still ahead.

I hope you enjoyed today's article!
Yours for. yo~ur gambling success!

Why Someone Will Pay You For Your Opinion?

"Online Paid Surveys" is one of the latest buzzwords on the Internet. Hundreds of websites have mushroomed on the Internet in the last few months. Each website seems to or at least makes claim that is pays better then the others. And joining this euphoria are the millions of web surfers who think this as a big opportunity to make some fast and easy money. Daily, hundreds and thousands of web surfers across the globe from vastly different backgrounds are registering at these sites and fast filling up the online survey forms.

But have you ever wondered why suddenly from nowhere, this scene got created? Well the scene did not get created suddenly. Consumer companies, from old times, rely on the experience of the consumer to manufacture and sell products. They are always in need to understand the likes and dislikes of their customers. Hence their sales teams used to conduct surveys whereby a customer or a potential customer would fill out a paper form. However this was slow and expensive process. With the advent of Internet, getting customer feedback is easier and cheaper. These companies often outsource their survey needs to the Paid Survey sites and pay them. The site then asks its subscribers to fill up the survey forms. In turn, they give a small reward to the one who takes the survey. The site then collates the data and simply passes it on the consumer company or prepares reports for these companies. The consumer company then makes the payment.

Some sites collect personal contact information like phone and email addresses. They then sell this information (fully or partially) to companies who would be looking to promote their products. These companies then send promotional emails or their telemarketers call people selling their wares. Hence one should carefully read the privacy policy before parting away with contact information.

Most paid sites these days also collect a small registration fee. Hence, this too adds to the revenue of the site. Also this sites host links to other sites. Hence they also earn money from the affiliation with other sites. This brings the point of paid survey directories. These are the sites, which simply have names of the actual paid survey websites. This means these sites are mere directory and they themselves do not conduct any survey. The actual survey conducting sites pay them for maintaining their names in the directories sites. Apart from this like any normal site, the paid survey sites and directory sites also have some advertising revenue.

Rob owns a blog and website helping people choose between paid surveys companies. Please visit the site for more information on online paid surveys

National Waiter and Waitress Day

Are they kidding?

This is a great country for so many more reasons than I could ever name, especially here. We celebrate political, religious, cultural and sexual diversity in every form. We even go so far as to name a "special day" after various types of people to remember and commemorate them.

We have the normal days:

  • Presidents Day
  • Mothers Day
  • Fathers Day
  • Grandparents Day
  • D-Day
  • Independence Day
  • Flag Day
  • All Saints Day
  • Veterans Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • New Years Day

Then we have the "cute" days:

  • Groundhog's Day
  • Girl Scout Day
  • April Fools Day
  • Administrative Professionals Day (give me a break!)
  • Beautician's Day
  • Take Your Son or Daughter to Work Day
  • Forgot Day (I forgot that one)
  • Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Day
  • National S'mores Day
  • Left Hander's Day

Now guess what the brain trust of the country came up with?Drum roll please...

National Waiter and Waitress Day! (May 21)

WHAT! You have got to be kidding!

I have an idea for a day to celebrate waiters and waitresses. How about a few of these:

  • Get to work on time day
  • Wear a clean uniform day
  • Take off those gangster earrings day
  • Get the order correct day
  • Don't let the buffet run out of food day
  • Serve from the left and clear from the right day
  • Offer them a second cup of coffee day
  • Stop complaining day
  • Do your closing side-work before you go home day
  • Punch-out for your shift day

I can go on forever...

I need a REAL job!

Living Humor - Squeezing the Juice From Life

Facts, oddities, incidental details: these are only some of the few things I examine in the following twenty features I have come up with concerning life and all its intricacies. Some will make you laugh, others will make you scratch your chin, but whatever your behaviour, each and every one of these twenty or so queries.

1) Why does the glue in a tube not stick to the tube itself?

2) Sanity statistics has proven that one out of four people are insane or suffer from some form of mental disease. Think of three of your best friends. If they are fine, then you must be the fourth one.

3) Sometimes, off and on, the batteries that we have placed in our remote control start to weaken. Even though we are well aware of this, why do we press the buttons harder and harder?

4) Watched old (and even newer descriptions in film) about Tarzan. If he is supposed to be living in the wild, what happened to his beard?

5) How is it that no matter how tight you close the shutters of light bulbs, flies or other insects manage to get inside?

6) Still use plastic bags instead of the more nature-friendly paper ones? Ok. Then, pray tell, why can't I ever manage to open one on my 1st attempt?

7) Why do they use sterilized needles when injecting a convict on death role?

8) Why does a bank take interest on money when your account is overdrawn. From where do they think you are going to pay them? If you had the cash you would have used it, wouldn't you?

9) Why doesn't anyone ever make fun of their father-in-law?

10) Why do people believe it when scientists say that there are about four billion stars, but feel they must check it if someone places a sign saying wet paint on a piece of furniture?

11) How many times will we return to the fridge even though there is no food in it and we know that from the previous time we paid a visit just minutes ago?

12) Notice how bullets bounce off superman's chests, but the moment the villain throws the empty revolver, this same invincible superman ducks. Shouldn't the revolver bounce off his chest too?

13) I'm sure you've heard of the evolutionary claim that mankind has evolved from monkeys. Before I am to believe this, I want to know that if this is so why are monkeys still roaming earth?

14) Note this. The next time an object is about to fall off someplace, if you try and prevent this, you will knock off another object instead. Is this some upper power trying to uphold karmic balance?

15) Heard of the Jap airplane pilots who towards the end of the Second World War crashed their planes into American naval ships? Why did these guys even think of wearing a helmet?

16) The next you vacuum your living room floor, explain what happens when you try to vacuum a tiny thread. The vacuum will not be able to suck it. Why then will you pick it up, examine it thoroughly and instead of placing it in the dustbin, throw it back down and try to vacuum it up again?

17) How come soap bubbles are always white no matter what the colour of the soap?

18) Aren't we unnecessarily mental by trying to create summer in our house during winter, and vice verse, when we try and create winter during summer?

19) Is there any day when mattresses are not on sale?

20) When we go to the supermarket and someone hits our ankles with their cart and then apologize, why do we reply that everything is fine? Why don't we just reply, "that hurts, asshole"?

Note:
Uncanny facts and features are not novel. The fact that we humans have strange habits is not new too. But, I have pointed out some of the few irregularities that we live with. This article is for entertainment purposes alone and doesn't try and offend or create new realities. So, take it in the appropriate manner too.
